LEH LADAKH LOCAL CITY PACKAGE
Day 01: Drive Sham Valley & Alchi -70km Sightseeing of 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey to visit the splendid three storeys Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you'll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues., Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill(where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia)
Day 02: Tour of Khardungla Pass 18380 Ft. Nubra Valley and Hundur Sand Dunes – Drive 120km 4/5hrs After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundur by Afternoon. Rest of the day, Post lunch free to explore Diskit, Hundur Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 03: Nubra Valley (Local Sightseeing) And Back To Leh, evening Shanti Stupa & Leh visit Diskit & Hunder Villages and monasteries take a stroll around the place to see the life style of people living at the northernmost region of India. Drive back to leh via Khardungla pass. Overnight Stay in Leh.
Day 04: Leh to Pangong Lake - Leh (160 Km / 6 Hrs one way),
Proceed to Pangong Lake (14,500ft), through Chang la Pass 17,350 ft. Thiksey Monastery, located on a hillock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh is also enroute Pangong and we stop here before moving ahead. We also stop to see the 3 Idiots School Campus Sindhu Darshan visit. Now we proceed to Pangong. It is the third highest motorable road in the world (320 Kms.) round trip. Enjoy the beauty of lake on the banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing colors of the high Altitude Lake.
